Dr. Nicole Bassil is passionate about forensic psychology and conducting thorough and comprehensive, yet concise, evaluations, and targeted and helpful therapy when court-ordered. In addition to her doctoral degree in clinical psychology, she earned a master’s degree in forensic psychology and mental health counseling. She has substantial training and experience conducting forensic evaluations across a variety of settings. She has conducted forensic evaluations at the state and federal levels as well as in outpatient settings. Her forensic experience includes evaluations related to mental state at the time of the offense, competency to stand trial, mitigation of sentence, intervention in lieu of conviction, drug court, and family court. Dr. Bassil emphasizes the importance of fostering a nonjudgmental and comfortable environment to reduce anxiety that often afflicts evaluates throughout assessment procedures, and during therapy related to court cases.
