With over 20 years of medical expertise, Dr. Jennie Byrne is a board-certified Psychiatrist with experience treating mental health conditions in adults (ages 18 and up). Dr. Byrne earned her bachelor’s degree at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, and doctorate from New York University Department of Neurophysiology. She also has a doctorate of medicine from New York University School of Medicine. Dr. Byrne went on to complete a psychiatry residency at Mt. Sinai School of Medicine in New York. In addition to her work as a psychiatrist, Dr. Byrne has performed extensive research on attention, memory, and depression. As a board-certified psychiatrist, Dr. Byrne focuses on the needs of each patient to provide the best in personalized care. Transparency and communication are at the heart of Dr. Byrne’s patient philosophy, ensuring each person that comes to her for support is provided with the education, treatment, and support they need.
After practicing in New York City for 12 years, Dr. Byrne relocated to North Carolina in 2008 and has had a variety of clinical and leadership positions both locally and nationally. She is a past President of the North Carolina Psychiatric Association and has served in national American Psychiatric Association committee positions. Dr. Byrne is a graduate of the North Carolina Medical Society Healthcare Leadership and Management College and continues to consult with innovative healthcare organizations nationally. She is also the Author of “Work Smart – Use Your Brain and Behavior to Master the Future of Work” to be published in January 2023.
