MS. JAZMYN JONES

Ms. Jazmyn Jones received her bachelor’s degree in social work from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, and is currently a clinical social work student in the prestigious clinical social work program at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Following five years of experience working with youth in social and school settings, Jazmyn widened her experience to working with families and adults diagnosed with mental health and substance use disorders. Jazmyn has worked in several different settings including private practice, at-risk youth programs, residential treatment programs, outpatient programs, community-based support programs, and student support services in Wake County Public Schools. Her experience is across the lifespan, as she has worked with all ages, to include children, teens, and adults.

Intervention Style & Therapy Experience: Jazmyn has experience creating person-centered plans that outline goals in treatment to help clients achieve the change they desire. In her therapy work, she helps clients to navigate through different stages of life and how they affect their presenting problem. Jazmyn works with individuals who have dual/differential diagnosis using empirically validated techniques such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and motivational interviewing skills. She seeks to assist clients of all ages presenting with all diagnoses and life concerns, working with clients on the full range of behavioral, emotional, family, and life skill issues they may seek to change in their lives. Jazmyn also has experience facilitating therapeutic outpatient groups.
