Dr. Lindsay Underwood has worked with teens and their families in a variety of settings, including private practice, hospitals, and juvenile probation departments. She has provided individual and family therapy for adolescents and families with an array of challenges, including relational difficulties, self-esteem, trauma, major life transitions, and behavioral/conduct issues. Dr. Underwood has a special interest in working with teens and families to support the development of autonomy and identity exploration. She takes an empowering and nonjudgmental approach, allowing teens space to work through their problems, identify strengths, and develop positive solutions. In addition to therapy, Dr. Underwood particularly enjoys using psychological and educational assessment to help adolescents and their families better understand the child’s strengths and how to best serve them.
