Astrid Lespier-Perez has worked with adolescents diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, mood disorders (anxiety; depression), body image concerns, social skills, and behavioral difficulties. She has also led group therapy sessions to develop social skills where
she worked with the teens and their parents. Astrid is aware that adolescence is a stage of development that can impact an individual in different ways. Some of the challenges that come with adolescence include difficulties with identity, self-esteem, body image, future decisions, and family dynamics. Astrid’s therapeutic approach focuses on creating a therapy setting where teens feel comfortable and in a safe environment, with the purpose of helping the adolescent feel free to be themselves and express their thoughts and emotions so therapy can be helpful to them.
